Meet John Tempel (JT)
John Tempel brings 29 years of experience in the building trades to his role as Redwood Falls District Manager for Schmidt Brothers Roofing. Raised in the small town of Morgan, Minnesota, John developed a strong work ethic and appreciation for craftsmanship at a young age.
His roofing experience began early, working alongside his father on roofs as young as seven years old. By 1995, John entered the construction industry full time and has since worked across many areas of residential construction, including new home building, remodeling, roofing installation, and commercial apartment projects.
As the owner of J Tempel Construction LLC, John has worked on a wide variety of projects and has personally installed multiple roofing systems including agricultural steel roofing, asphalt shingles, and steel shingles on homes.
John also has experience helping homeowners navigate storm damage and insurance claims, guiding customers through inspections and the restoration process. Prior to joining Schmidt Brothers Roofing, he frequently recommended the company to his own clients due to their reputation for quality workmanship and reliability.
